Edin Dzeko

The irony has seemingly yet to dawn on the hardcore groupies over at BigSoccer Forum, and the delusion hasn't died down either.

Some belters on there, good for a laugh.

Notice that they're reading this thread too. Hello!

for a 75 minutes City fails as a TEAM to create single chance, it could of been Muhammad and Jesus himself up front and they couldn't do shit on their own.
I understand Dzeko did do nothing special today but how the hell in the world he gets all the blame after every loss its beyond me.
If you as a team fail to create anything for 75mins you will lose a game in every league in this world. We played one of the best teams and defending CL champion and we got rolled its simple. Honestly we it could of been way worse.
He is not getting the blame for the loss. At least not from me. But still I still think he should be sold from a philosophical point of view. I think City needs to transition to a 1 striker formation team. Which means they shouldn't have more than 2 strikers on their roster. Seeing as they currently carry 5, then 3 must go or switch position. Jovetic has always been a parttime striker anyways, so he can permanently move to midfield. Guidetti has never really starred for City, so time to ship him out. That leaves 3 strikers, Aguero, Negredo, Dzeko. One of whom must go, and the other starting from the bench.

Dzeko in my opinion has the weakest overall game of the 3 left. Aguero is our main guy for better or worse, and Negredo is much more of a fit because of his aggression. Dzeko is simply the odd man out. And seeing as he wants a starring role, which he wouldn't get over Aguero here, it is best he be the one to leave.

For me, it is that simple. I have nothing against Dzeko, think he is a solid striker and should be leading the line somewhere,. Just not here!
Agreed 100%, certain Bosnians will no doubt claim it's because we 'hate' Dzeko. What they don't understand is that we don't, not at all. It's just that we love City and want the best and he's not it. At least for us.

Fucking mental the lot of em.They do our club no favours and I hope every single one of the deluded, blinkered clowns fucks off with their God when he's sold for a substantial loss.
That website is hilarious, the fact that one of them brought up ethnicity as the reason for people 'hating' Dzeko comes as no surprise. The only surprise is that none of our resident Bosnians have brought it up.

I'll say it again in the hope that the penny drops for at least one of them, we don't 'hate' Dzeko(well some may but that's people for you) most of us think he's a good footballer just not in our team.

It's the overdramatic groupies that will claim you hate dzeko...trust me there is more and more comments on the streets here about Edin's behavior on the pitch, lazy, acting like a ballerina...and one comment I heard this morning is the biggest truth of all...he got beat in the air by Philip Fucking Lahm....he is 50cm shorter that Dzeko...he has become frustrating to watch even for the Bosnians and he has no right to argue if he is dropped to the bench, he should hug it, caress it and keep it warm for Negredo because right now, he doesn't deserve better. When he gets his act together he is as good as you could wish but right now his place is on the bench.

If a forward was only there to score goals this would be fine But I for one expect a little more, for me he's not a footballer just a goalscorer who offers little else. He cant trap a ball, pass a good pass or cause any problem to the CH Consequently he puts as much pressure on the City as the opposition, he rarely wins the ball that comes to him. Negredo makes a difference when he plays and so Id start win him abench ED and sell him in January

had to listen to it all last night, how bad dzeko was! he was this, he was that, he couldn't do this or that,
the abuse he got from the guy sat next to me was as if dzeko had murdered his mum and then shit on her dead body! most of this was at 17 mins into the game when NOBODY of city had done a thing!! I don't know if he was a tourist or a mover but it was disgusting.

Hes not the scapegoat, most level headed fans are judging him on his whole time at City, lost patience with him by the end of last season only to give him another chance under the new manager but unfortunately things haven really changed

lol we dont have the ball at all in the first half = dzeko is shit. milner and silva get on in the 2nd half get the ball back and we actually have possession passes to neg to score a good goal = legend. fickle fans are fickle.

Don't think he managed to adapt well to Mancini's style of play when he first arrived and his ensuing issues over the seasons didn't help, but I really thought we'd start seeing a bit of fire in his belly and a marked improvement in performance under a manager who is trusting him.

I've given him a lot of slack in the past but for me he continues to waste too many chances, breaks down too many attacks and perhaps worst of all isn't putting the running in. Nice enough guy but I think he's been given a fair crack under Pellegrini and Negredo deserves to be playing instead otherwise it's not fair on him.

Yes the majority of fans on here are fickle and Dzeko is a footballing God.

dzeko is a top class striker and goal poacher nothing more nothing less. hes not fukin rambo thats why we have kun in the team. provide him service and he will score. before u say hes shit look at his goal tally already. if some 1 was that fshit like how most of the anti dzeko keyboard warriors are saying he would be at 0 or at-least contributed with some own goals.

-- Thu Oct 03, 2013 3:16 pm --

If so many of you consider him shit and a garbage striker why would you have a problem if he went to another Premier League team?

Say competitors like Arsenal or Chelsea? Surely it would just be money in the pockets if you really think he's so terrible.

They don't want Dzeko anymore.

This guy here is a Liverpool fan and hates him the most:

I'm not Dzeko's biggest fan but anyone giving him harsh criticism after last night's game is being rather harsh, we couldn't keep the ball for long enough to get the strikers involved, the set up was completely wrong.
