I am not a fan of the EDL but the two posts I am quoting are always thrown around and don't really make any sense.

I have to say that all three parties mentioned in this thread are (almost) as bad (and as dishonest) as each other.

The EDL are basically a bunch of racists who don't mind black people as much as asian ones. It's like BNP lite.

Islamists basically stand against everything that is good about western liberal values. Democracy, an independent judiciary, trial by jury, freedom of speech, women's rights, and freedom of sexuality.

And then there's the hard left. Once again they appear to fall into the unprincipled mode of my enemy's enemy is my friend. The values mentioned above (especially the last three) were principles that the left fought for over a number of years especially in the 70's and 80's. And rightly so. They should be very proud of that. The fact that they are now bedfellows with people to whom those values are a complete anathema is nothing short of a disgrace.

Why don't they grow a pair and dissasociate themselves from these fascists rather than stand alonside them just because they are asian.
