Elano.....

would you have him back? do you think he could be a better player under Mancini? back to his first half of 07/08 season performances or better....

Despite the protestation that they were okay with each other by the end, does anyone really believe that he only left because he wanted guaranteed starts, and not because Hughes was to determined to jettison him?

All seems like such a waste that a few months down the line Hughes is gone anyway, and now we need.....well a player just like Elano...

Are you for real?
NO WAY on earth that we should ever take back that poisonous prima donna. At least jumped up arrogant buggers like Bellamy GRAFT week in week out. Good riddance to Elano and he can take Rob with him (and Adebayor at this rate too)

chill out! and ye, lets get rid of 2 quality players from the club, great idea

What I found particularly odd about Elano was the way he tended to associate himself with Robinho almost as if they were some kind of double act, ie pick Rob then you need to pick me. Yet that was patently not the case, and if he was that good - why did he need to do that?

A wonderfully talented player without a doubt - but a moody Blue who never gave enough consistently enough to have become what he could have been - a genuine City legend.

Robinho most over rated player i have EVER seen. See you later thanks very much and lests get as uch money back as possible.
Since Ade scored against Arsenal i haven't seen him put in a decent shift.

Over recent seasons i have noticed a divide open up between fans who love players like Elano who will be brilliant against, say Hull at home then go missing in the big games and those (me) who don't.
GOOD players don't go missing. GOOD players don't moan and groan and cause divisions. Play your best week in, week out - is that too much to ask?

Not proved their quality at City yet and Mancini will only give them so much time time to convince, IMO they're both mentally flawed, almost child like, I don't envy any manager having to work with them!

i partly agree with you, but they have proven, at least to me, that on their day they are world class so imo if they are managed correctly they will be like 2 new signings

Great player, needs a shrink like most of the tossers who replied to this post, who listen to talk crap radio, read the rag papers and don't got to matches.
He is probably one of the most gifted players we ever had but we did not have a manager who could get inside his head.

Baconface tolerated the most arrogant player on the planet and he won them trophies.

Hughes, who liked to play the disciplinarian would not buy into it and he and Elano are gone. Elano to me was the greater loss.

Sad thing is Mancini could have been the manager to sort him out. We will never know.
