I'd rather we promote rekik into the team

Just one problem with that idea......

I can see him making a good squad player but first 11? no.

Don't see why not, if liverpool can promote Flanagan and sterling, everton stones, why can't we have a youngster at the back he's been doing well on loan

Based on these ratings, he's having a decent/good-ish season in Holland but not a GREAT one. Chelsea reject Bruma, his partner in defence, has a higher average rating.

Keep in mind the Premier League is 5x better than the Eredivisie too, maybe Rekik needs more seasoning on loan. He is very young and years off when defenders usually peak, so I don't think there is a rush. CB in the Premier League is a very demanding position.

Bruma might have a higher rating, but holy ..... he is EVERYWHERE on the pitch, in a bad way.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Rekik already said he doesnt come back unless he will play a fair share of the games for him to improve.

No way he would get in a defence where we have Nastasic, Kompany, Mangala, Demichelis all ahead of him in the line. I mean he would get games in the LEague Cup until we are out of it, then not.

Rekik better stays away from us next season and keeps improving either at PSV or at a PL club on loan. Or will play as much as Boyata and improves fuck all.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

Whilst I accept that the Dutch league isn't at the standard of the Premiership, how do we know for certain that Rekik isn't as good as Nastatic.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

I'm struggling to see how any young player will ever make it with us if the weight of expectation is such that they are expected to be the finished article in their first game. There is no reason why Rekik can't be guaranteed playing time in the cup games and on the bench, at least, for league games.
