Surely there's a way of verifying whether Txiki was/is actually in Porto.
He was at the game, but I imagine he goes to a lot of games, it doesn't prove we are any closer than we were. We already know we're interested, so it doesn't really offer any information. Every Porto, Benfica and Sporting game has representatives from numerous PL clubs, it means very little

Moreno at Sevilla is another player we have been linked with so having him, Mangala, and Fernando under the same roof it made sense for Txiki to go and watch that game.

If anything those three players are likely to be our main signings of the window with them being a LB, CB and DM

I've never forgiven Ronnie for the Isco deal. That one hurt.

it would be a brilliant transfer window for me having those 3

(1/2) Sunday Telegraph: City are closing in on deals to sign Porto pair Eliaquim Mangala (23) and Fernando (26) for a combined fee of £41m.

City Watch ‏@City_Watch 1m
(2/2) Sunday Telegraph: The deal for Mangala is the most progressed and the fee could reach £29m, while Fernando will cost around £12.4m.

Seems to tie in with the earlier Daily Mail reports.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

That would be 50mE, which sounds about right. At least they've picked a plausible figure this time! Would be a perfect double signing though

How accurate is the Sunday Telegraph?
