Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

Returning the thread to the subject of Musk, even the haters (more of that later) must see him as a remarkable man, given what he’s achieved is just staggering. Starlink, Space X, Tesla, PayPal. (I’ve omitted Twitter) People like Musk change the world and his achievements speak for themselves. Is he likeable…no - not especially; although we mostly see him through the lens of the media (we know from their treatment of City you don’t always get a fair shake from those fuckers). The likes of Musk will do more for Climate Change than a thousand Gretas or Ed Millibands. He is a natural disruptive force of nature - and those people bring about change. Essential - given we’re supposed to be in a crisis.
He’s managed to garner hatred from the Never-Trumpers, UK Labour supporters, the Nigel Faragists, the thousands he fired at Twitter, the many more thousands likely to be fired in the US “State”, the Trans lobby…it’s a long and varied list. Great Leaders, be they in politics, in thought-leadership, industry, business and commerce, science are very rarely “nice” people - if people see them as nice, it’s usually down to either effective PR or simply lack of knowledge. There may be exceptions but I’d say not many. Ghandhi for example was believed to be a paedophile; Mother Theresa’s now thought to be a bit of a twat.
I don’t agree with everything Musk says by a very long chalk, but I do support free speech (within the boundaries of the law) and SOME of the things he says, need to be said. I don’t think he really believes Jess Phillips should go to gaol, it’s just hyperbole. I’m not going to support Tommy Robinson because Musk thinks he’s a “political prisoner” either. I’m not going to vote or not vote for Nigel Farage because of anything Musk says.
But I’m not a hater and I am in awe of his achievements, especially in space travel where he’s achieved so much in such a short time. Almost as much as the collection of Nazis (potentially-War Criminals) rounded up by the Yanks after the war and spirited them away to kick-start their space program.
Hopefully Musk will get his chums together and all fuck off to Mars in his spaceship.
We have free speech already.
Of course he wants her to go to jail. Where does the 'hyperbole' come from?
How can you be 'in awe' of a twat that spreads hate and lies across the world and gives racist knuckle draggers something to cling onto?

GB News have apparently interviewed Elon's Dad Errol, who is a South African mineowner.

Errol has two kids with his own stepdaughter, who is 42 years his junior.

Weird how Elon ended up fucked up, racist and paedo obsessed.
His dad is an absolute nutter, I watched a documentary where he talked about when he was prosecuted for shooting three thieves dead. He claimed he didn't use excessive force and got off without charge because he killed two of them with one bullet.

What Musk has done is to call out the British government/establishment for the disgraceful cover up of the Pakistani rape gangs. Multiple people have tried in the past and got nowhere, usually at significant cost to themselves. For that I applaud him.
My concern is that Musk and his far-right fellow travellers are about more than just that. I see him as attempting to arouse an animus against mainstream Muslims who are as appalled by the rape gang cover up and the terrorist attacks perpetrated by ISIS and Salafi-Jihadists as the rest of us.

A giveaway is the fact that the usual suspects on X never highlight the work that these Muslims do. Examples include Yasmin Alibhai-Brown (who excoriates the cover up in part of her book Refusing the Veil), Dame Sara Khan (who was highly critical of the treatment of the Batley teacher in her report on that issue), Ed Husain (who in several best selling publications has highlighted how Islamist ideology still has a hold on the UK Muslim community), and Ziauddin Sardar (who in his study Islam Beyond the Violent Jihadis tries to show how his religion has been hijacked by a violent strain of Salafism).

Trawling through tweets authored by Musk, Robinson (Calvin), Robinson (Tommy), Grimes, Fox, Tousi, Wootton et al. one might be forgiven for thinking that there is no such thing as a liberal Muslim, when in fact I taught several generations of them.

So that’s why I have no time or regard for Musk.

I'm going to assume that's true. Makes perfect sence.

I did check it out...

In the early 1990s, Errol, then aged 45, married Heide Bezuidenhout, a 25-year old he described as "one of the best looking women I’ve ever seen in my life".[23] They had two children.[24] Jana Bezuidenhout, who later became his romantic partner, was his stepdaughter from that marriage, four years old at the time Errol became her stepfather.[24][25]

...

In March 2018, it was reported that Errol had fathered a child with his adult step-daughter Jana Bezuidenhout.[24][35]

In July 2022, Errol gave an interview to the tabloid newspaper The Sun, announcing that he and Jana Bezuidenhout had had another child.[36][37] Musk has a total of seven children, according to People magazine in November 2022.[26] On 1 August 2022, Errol appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Australian radio show, saying he was "not proud" of Elon.

Presumably it's because the far-right are such attention-seekers that they have leapt on this issue but it's on the public record that a massive, and I mean massive, enquiry was held about a decade ago and the previous Government did nothing with the recommendations.
Even allowing for the intellectual challenge that getting up in the morning must be for much of the far-right, it seems they want to call out every fact that doesn't suit as a lie. This only feeds the lunacy of vacuous tyrants like Farage, Musk and Trump.
I’m confused to what the actual story is here? As you said, there was a huge enquiry with recommendations put forward in 2022 for the Conservative government to implement. They failed to implement any of the recommendations, with the new government promising to implement all of them as the Tories failed a huge group of victims.

The questions should be to why did the previous government fail to implement any of the recommendations. Furthermore, what right have the current Conservative and Reform Party MPs, both have Tory members from that period, got to point fingers at Labour after failing those people so badly?

The cunts want stringing up, not listened to.

I ask him about a comment Elon reportedly made to a biographer several years ago. Musk Jr apparently said: "If each successive generation of smart people has fewer kids, then that's probably bad."

I ask Errol Musk if that viewpoint is bordering on eugenics.

"I wouldn't call it eugenics as such, but every nation has practiced a certain form of survival of the fittest.

"One need only go to England and go to the Cheltenham area, the horse breeding area, and say, 'Look, we're not going to breed the horses anymore by any form of standard. I've got a few old horses I've found in Nigeria and we're going to just mix them with your race horses…'

"They'll say, no, no, no, no, no," he added.

I wonder what he was trying say.

Let’s not twist his words, he just thinks that Desert Orchid was better than Red Rum.

In awe of his achievements? He was born rich & used daddy's money & influence to buy his way into companies. He's no more a scientific mind than Steve Jobs was. He's also a complete ****.
