Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

The arse kissers from earlier in the thread seem to have gone awfully quiet.

I've got more than my fair share of faults but one of my biggest frustrations in life is how so many people are this easily duped by such blatant grifters.

Some of you aren't even simply sacrificing your hard earned money to buy what they're peddling but the way you deify the obscenely wealthy and those who indulge in constant, nauseating self aggrandisement is so incredibly tedious.

They don't know you exist. They'd squash you like an ant if it would benefit them in any way. Pull your fucking tongue out of their arses and stop letting these fucking cretins define such a large portion of your identity. You are nothing like them and never will be.

But Elon posts memes! He gets me!!

Elon Musk received a $56 billion pay package in 2018, the BBC tells me. Can that be true ? Almost as much as we're paying Erling.

Vast majority in inflated shares.

Only someone as detached from reality as Elon would believe they are worth that much, even Roidy Steve and Creepy Bill realise that sort of bullshit doesn't stack up and plan to give the majority of their wealth away.

The incomparable David Simon explains why he is leaving Twitter in this superb blog entry.

“This is Twitter. There is no grace. None. Here in an orgy of organized disinformation and trollery, our republic has come to die. There is no teaching the fuckmooks and deplorati. Go down swinging. Use every cruel word. Invoke their mothers. Lather them with contempt. Enjoy.”

2 weeks ago Elon wanted to half the workforce at twitter.

Between his firing spree, his personal firing of anyone who criticised him or mocked him, and his ultimatum to work inhumane hours in a toxic wasteland or leave yesterday, 90% of the workforce have gone.
