Revenue down 9%. That is for 3months jan-march. Arguably Musks reputation wasn't that bad in January. Will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

The thing is this is not a surprise. Tesla has missed its financial targets for 4 of the last 5 quarters. It has the financials of a company in decline. Falling sales and falling profits. And in a market ghat is booming.

with how far behind that is compared to some of the others on the market I have no idea how they think that will happen.

When have share prices ever had anything to do with the performance of companies? Tesla is a meme stock but it's volatile precisely for that reason and well that's just the market.
The one thing this does do is allow Musk to use his shareholding as leverage and so that's why I would never write him off personally. His ability to raise capital goes far above any other individual so Tesla will be safe in any event.
There is literally no point in investing in any car company really unless they're hot on the heels of intellectual property such as self driving, AI or something else. If you do then it's highly likely that you'll lose money.

I don’t think that is so after driving around the Manchester area the past couple of years. It seems you can’t go by without passing a Tesla, they are everywhere here.
