He has a distinctive voice, lots of variety in his work and is a genuine singer/songwriter/musician. I'm in. (so to speak)

Didn't Bernie Taupin write most of his songs?
He's not really my cup of Earl Grey as I find him rather bland, but he has some talent and can actually sing, which is more than can be said for most of today's overhyped, manufactured teenage halfwits.

He did Fetters but I believe Elton had some kind of input. (again, so to speak)

i really like all his albums up until Captain Fantastic and the Dirt Brown Cowboy

some great tunes back in the day, and still own all the albums

if you hold them up to the light they had a red tinge to them

Anyway, easy to sing on the karaoke, which suggests to me that he's not exactly an amazing vocalist. Has a few decent songs, but nothing I'd listen to by choice with any regularity.
