What are you people getting at? Are you saying City cannot insist that Hart return but Hart can insist and hasn't?

City certainly couldn't insist on it, season long loans cannot have recall clauses, and the only way the player can return is if the club that hold his registration send him back.

Hart could have told Birmingham he wanted to come back, and then they could have allowed it if they wanted to (got enough compensation), since it seems that the PL would have agreed.

Who knows ? My feeling though is that Hart doesn't want to come back here.

There are quotes in the Guardian indicating that they didn't really want Hart to return to City.

I think we were advised the grade of goalie we could have.

Which is fair enough.

I can't see how Hart would have a gripe with us, it was Hughes that fucked him over, Hughes isn't here anymore.

Well of course they didn't WANT him to come back, yet their CE invited us to ask yesterday ??? Why would he suggest that ?

They want him back next season, so I don't see playing billy big bollox is going to help in that quest.

He's been very quiet on it all, and if he'd told Birmingham he'd like to return to get his chance at being number 1 here, he'd have been at training in the morning.

I'm surprised we are not used to clubs fleecing us by now, every player we go for their asking price trebles. Brum's season is over and they can't really go anywhere in the table but fancied making some easy money, we just have to live with it.

All this talk about precedent yet they have taken a subjective metric (quality of the player), into consideration for what should be a black and white rule - are you allowed to make an emergency signing or not. Utterly bizarre.

I was talking about the FA/Premier League

And we should absolutely not be doing any business with Birmingham this summer. They've burned their bridges.

Maybe Hart will go back to City.

Maybe he will get a competitive England cap.

Maybe then City will pay Shrewsbury Town (My team) the 650k as per his contract that would be an absoloutely massive amount to a league 2 club like us.

Maybe...Hopefully.

Didn't you get that for the Jamaica cap?

Welcome BTW.

-- Wed Apr 28, 2010 12:19 am --
