I don’t know what evidence you have to support that idea? But there’s plenty of evidence to suggest you’re way off.
 
Winning trophies should be hard. We will eventually end up with an FA Cup winning team that didn't actually win a game but took penalties very, very well!

Yeah, rememeber we all laughed at the scousers winning two cup finals and a charity shield on penalty shoot outs as being pathetic.

It was a bit of harmless fun taking the piss that their quad turned into two goalless finals won on pens.

But you really think City players and fans would be pathetic if they celebrated winning a major trophy on penalties?

I don't think it is allowed - it's written in the regs who gets the space, as far as I know.

I don't understand why they have cancelled replays all the way back to the 1st round - no taking a big league side back to a non-league ground midweek.

we have done, big willy the hero I ppartied that night

Prefer to win any game not as a lottery, the scenario the poster I repliied to put forward is a devalued one, if every cup game became a choice for some teams to sit back and play for pens the games will soon become stale and as a spectacle poor.

This does not promote entertaining games where teams go for it at all.

Well that’s not realistically going to happen.

The teams that inevitably win the FA Cup ( Premier League teams ) only have two possible replays at the moment, so not an awful lot is changing in that regard anyway.

That is my point, it isn't just about the premier league and no fan should.be thinking about whats just good for their club but the pyramid as a whole, as any club could end up down the leagues as we well know.

Just saddens me that the last 15 years seems to have some blues losing empathy with the lower league and teams not competing in Europe, for me we should all look after each other in matters that affect all, be it this change, ticket prices, tv scheduling etc.

lets never be like bayern, milan, the rags, barca, madrid and scouse fans and look down and sniff on those below us when they are being devalued, but stand in solidarity on crucial issues even if they are bellends at times
