Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Another change that belittles the competition further.

If they want to keep the FA Cup relevant, give the 4th CL place to the winner.

Then every club will go full strength every time.
It’s a myth that this can be awarded by the FA it’s UEFA who set the qualification criteria of their competition and this is never going to happen that’s what the Europa league is for
Some maintain that only the national champions should be in the UCL
What is being missed is the FA selling Tv rights to TNT massive mistake when ITV & BBC won the rights it was a big boost this is a step backwards

The FA Cup will become irrelevant to top teams soon. The prize money is rubbish and all it’s worth winning for is the historic trophy.

All I was suggesting was a route back for the competition. Whether it’s possible, I didn’t know.

Marc white nails it here.

Dorking have never got to the 1st round so little chance of being affected.

The qualifying rounds still have replays and they have never got past that stage. Some people do anything to get on telly or get heard.

Another nail in the coffin. This is partly down to the Huge TV deal the Premier negotiated a few seasons back. The bigger clubs will not be intrested in giving the smaller clubs a bigger slice because of the lack of replays.
The bigger slice is part of the agreement to not have replays

They still take the League Cup seriously

It won't be big enough to cover the loss.
Really?
How many replays are there each season and what income is generated by them plus it’s only benefits the club involved
My bet is if you added up the income it wouldn’t come anywhere near the additional £33M that the PL are giving each season
