How many replays are there each season and what income is generated by them plus it’s only benefits the club involved
My bet is if you added up the income it wouldn’t come anywhere near the additional £33M that the PL are giving each season

Thank fuck for that. I've wanted replays scrapped for eons.
If you pay to see a cup game, you should get to see it to it's conclusion, not for some cloggers to play against themselves, secure a draw and get smashed in the second round.
Giant killings almost never happen in replays, by that time the bigger club knows how to take the sting out of the lower league club and usually turn them over pretty easily.
Why on earth should clubs be rewarded or incentivised more for playing for a draw than securing a win?

The FA Cup is the traditional end of season closer. It looks like the PL have decided the league will be instead.

Fifa club world cup - not arsed about it for it to mess with the domestic season
Champions league new format - left the cup scheme already too much of the same boring 6-8 teams every year and the format is designed fofr the top clubs and so lacks any edge (let's be honest weds could have been a league game the way real played for pens similar to sheff u playing for a point)
FA Cup devalued to suit the premier league clubs and also tarnishes our name being now lumped in with the red shirts as the big 6.
The more they make changes to grab cash and protect the elite clubs here and in europe while making a tidy profit as governing bodies the more they reduce football to a shell of a spsort

I think the clubs from tier 2-10 should pull out next year and tell the fa and prem to get fucked.

I’m well aware of Dorking’s record in the fa cup. They were in the national league and only needed to win 1 game to reach the fa cup 1st round so to say it will never effect them is just so absurd. They lost to Horsham who went on to face Barnsley home and away with the replay being televised thus netting themselves over 50k. That money is huge for a club like Horsham. Without the televised replay the amount earned would have been less than half of the 50kDorking have never got to the 1st round so little chance of being affected.
The qualifying rounds still have replays and they have never got past that stage. Some people do anything to get on telly or get heard.
Marc was approached by sky for his input so no need for that dig either. Honestly the lack of understanding or empathy to how this effect the lower leagues is concerning. The reason there is fixture congestion is because the greedy cartel clubs (city are very much in bed with these) have agreed to play more European games so they get more money.
Reading some of the replies to this thread this morning it appears some city fans have forgotten the past and have turned into elitist tossers. Remind me of the armchair United fans tbh
