I'd say the lives of grown men who resort to empty seat jibes are what's empty. Seriously, how fucking insecure do you have to be to grasp onto something so ridiculous. It's a comforter to the millions of arm chair(ironic eh!) rags/scousers and cockneys whose only insight to the football world is what's spoonfed to them by red top papers and sky sports. With each passing year every single negative which has been thrown at us is dispersed, we've answered all our critics on and off the pitch so all they're left with is a few empty seats!
Fucking sad, sad lives they must lead. I look forward to more bitter, salty tears once our expansion is complete and we're at the pinnacle of English football for many years to come.

So many no-shows in the Family Stand today that 1894's attempt at an upper tier display was a disaster and there was a glittering of the coloured paper on empty seats for the entire game.

Hopefully our 7,500 new season ticket holders next season value their STs more than some in our ground, such as the fella two seats from me who has only turned up for the derby and Liverpool game this season, leaving it empty for the rest (except cup games).

Probably me mate, but I aint new, on my 15th year. Sometimes real life and death get in the way.

I'm lucky enough to be able to afford me & my kids attend every home game. The shite received from utd fans rattling on about the stadium being empty doesn't bother me as they don't fill their ground either & if thats all they have to grasp at then we're doing very well but....I have mentioned on surveys & forums my concern when the new stand is open. Then there will be a gaping hole on cup nights midweek against lower league opposition. Even more so when the other half of the expansion is complete. The Sheik is obviously looking light years ahead when we are basking in European & maybe Barca-esque world dominance that the stadium will be bursting at the seams but in the meantime make sure YOU turn up, don't worry about the empty seats, we're a local club at the minute supported by an ever faithful 35-40,000 fans & I bet I'm not the only old blue who is watching the best football I have ever seen & luvin every minute of it.

35,000 empty seats yesterday and another 55,000 midweek. Perhaps you should revise your post.

Thx for the input, I was meaning if we ever get as good or as consistent as Barca were in their hayday our ground would be bursting at the seams, maybe that's what the Sheik envisages with the ground expansion? Couldn't give a monkeys about Barca's attendance, sounds like nor do the Barca fans if your figures are correct.
