End of Season Party vs Arsenal?!

Rags have a game in hand

Which if they win puts them a point behind, as good as 2 with the goal difference and still makes us clear favourites for the 4th spot ffs.

What point are you trying to make karen as for the life of me, you constantly saying they have a game in hand means fuck all unless winning it meant they went above us and put it out of our hands?

This isnt just aimed at you but the few that just dont seem to grasp the reality that its very much in our own hands still.

Is it?

4th spot, 4 points ahead and a much better goal difference says very differently.

It is now touch and go, rags have 9 points to play for and will probably get 6 from villa and norwich(west ham should beat them) at least, we have harder games in that sense it's very possible we could both end up on the same points at the end.And I know that means we finish 4th on GD butstill a worry that it could go terribly wrong. but then we could still get 2nd at present

The kind of complacency that's got us strggling and underperforming in the league.
Hope you're right.

It isnt complacency at all, its the fact of the situation we find ourselves in right now.

We are clear favourites, regardless of which way you look at it.

They've already played Villa. Their other match is Bournemouth at home and that's their last game.

It will become clearer after the Norwich away game - they play them at 12.45 on Saturday. Norwich are fighting for their lives so it's not a given that United will win. Also, West Ham away in the last ever game at Upton Park is a tough fixture. In fact, don't rule West Ham out of nicking that 4th spot - something that seems to have gone under the radar as almost everyone appears to think it's just between us and the Rags.

There would be none of this messing about if PJ was still at the helm.

Yes because we have such a fantastic record against teams in the top half of the table don't we and especially arsenal.

The point I was making wasn't that we won't but that someone said from up high pellers is told to sacrifice next years champions league games at all cost for this years campaign.

We don't spend 5 years courting pep to get to a position that in his first season he does not have champions league games? That is stupid. The club are not that silly. The decision to rest players against Southampton and the silly 4 4 2 formation with weaker players away from home is pellers alone not the boards. The board want pep and a champions league campaign next year . In fact they will be bloody desparate for it.
