Just got an email from EDF with lots of info ,links to grants under certain criteria , i am fixed till next year so wont be applying even though i am eligable , worth looking at
Surely it's just the way the bills work out, being paid in arrears.I do not understand why people let such enormous amounts of credit build up on their utility accounts.
To be fair to Octopus they recommend you keep it at around one months direct debit, make it easy to ask for a refund and refund any amount you want back on request.
I'd guess Shell as they've taken on the responsibility?Been massively overcharged by Green (Talking 300m3 of gas) but since theyve gone bust, do I complain to them or does nobody work for them anymore (I've already emailed and messaged online chat, currently on hold again but wondering if anyones going to answer)? should I be speaking to shell instead?
Spoke to both, green said they cant open a dispute because theyve no longer got a licence and to contact shell. Contact shell and they cant do anything because I havent got an account with themI'd guess Shell as they've taken on the responsibility?
It’s considered good practice by the companies to have 1 month credit, no more.Surely it's just the way the bills work out, being paid in arrears.
I've just had my latest bill from EDF which came to near £390 but that's for 193 days usage. It wiped out a big chunk of the £440 odd I had in credit but it means I didn't have to pay it in one go. My £74 a month DD goes up to £117 from December so I'll have to play it by ear for awhile until I see how the account is looking.
Are you being moved over to Shell from Green? If so you'd just have to be patient until it's setup.Spoke to both, green said they cant open a dispute because theyve no longer got a licence and to contact shell. Contact shell and they cant do anything because I havent got an account with them
Yeah. Coincidentally they are also the old supplier from before we moved here, so its them who I'm querying with as they must have provided the low reading to our new supplier. Still doesn't excuse Green though as I sent the day 1 readings on day 1.Are you being moved over to Shell from Green? If so you'd just have to be patient until it's setup.
