True, but he's still a top player with a fantastic goal scoring record. Spurs will need to win something soon to keep him. He's disappointed every year with Spurs' lack of silverware. If he isn't, he should be.

He is playing in front of a very poor England midfield.
In the last 3 seasons Kane has scored 25, 29 and now 30 goals in the Premier League. There should be no doubts about his ability.
We've got a bizarre situation where he will almost certainly pick up the golden boot but at the same time this World Cup has perhaps been the first disappointment of his career. I don't think he will have been too happy with his performance. England and Kane's World Cup was distorted by the games against Tunisia and especially Panama.
I don't think he will have been too happy with his performance.
Were they playing for the team you support?
I but unfair I think to say it's all about him.I think he will because it's all about him. Winning the golden boot (which he probably will) means he's had a great tournament: he finished the World Cup on an all-time high. Yeah, England didn't do too well, but as long as he gets the plaudits and the hero worship off the media and the Spuds fans then all is well.
Someone mentioned what a selfish player Hazard can be, and I agree. But he's no worse than Kane.
Don't misquote me, I said: "now we can look forward to watching good football and better players again."Nope
But the best players don’t all play for city
Love great football
Love great players
I think Harry Kane is a likeable enough guy and a very good striker on his day but his stock has gone down a lot for me off the back of his finish to the season and his performances in this WC.
I think there's something not right in his head to be honest. He has a very rigid focus on scoring as many goals as possible but he takes it so far that it's holding himself and the teams he plays for back.
He played in a lot of games where he was clearly unfit towards the end of last season in his quest for the golden boot. The hangover from that was clear to see in the WC where he just looked totally knackered and ineffective a lot of the time.
Honestly think he needs to see a sports psychologist or his manager needs to force him the point home that it's not always about how many goals YOU score, it's about the team getting goals when they're actually needed. He's so important to Tottenham (and they're probs also aware he could earn loads more elsewhere) that I think he's been overindulged. He should have been dropped/rested in games last season but they allowed him to carry on in this daft pursuit of the golden boot. Winning stuff like that is nice I'm sure, but it's meaningless when the team is winning nothing.
One writer said recently that he takes so many shots because he works off the theory that missing one means you're more likely to score your next. Maybe if he knocked all that shit on the head he might have squared to Sterling and the England team would have been playing this afternoon.
When he said "I swear on my baby daughter's life that I touched it" after that goal at Stoke, i seriously started to question his mentality.
Finally, I'd also say that even though I don't especially care who is captain, Engalnd had a few players that showed some leadership qualities in this tournament and it would make sense to me to give one of them the captaincy. Kane is too single minded to paly that role and way too peripheral in a lot of the games.
Not disputing he's a top player but I genuinely think his focus is miles too weighted towards breaking individual scoring records. I'm not surprised he looked isolated playing for England at times as like you say, the midfield wasn't creating many opportunities. Still think it will hold him back in the long term if he doesn't change his mindset a bit. He definitely played a number of games when unfit last year when trying to win the golden boot. He looked jaded against United in the FA cup semi and maybe his team would have benefitted from him being tested and fully fitTrue, but he's still a top player with a fantastic goal scoring record. Spurs will need to win something soon to keep him.

I never said all the best players play for City, I said I was looking forward to watching good football and better players. Which is entirely accurate from the point of view of an England and City fan. City have better players than England and play far better football. If you get your kicks watching Portugal then good for you.
I'd be very surprised to see him at City. He's a good player, no doubt, but I really don't see how he would fit into our style of play.I but unfair I think to say it's all about him.
Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at City. He'll be on the move if Spurs flop again. A door maybe shutting in Madrid and one maybe opening at City.
