England Thread - 2023/24

Perfection is unattainable, even for Pep. Pep, however, is always looking to improve. With waistcoat, if Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble had been footballers, he would have chosen them. There appears to be no visible attempt to improve the style of play as new players emerge. Foden is the classic example. He is probably the most naturally gifted English player of the last 50 years (including Bellingham, Rooney and Gascoigne) and yet he cannot find a place in his starting eleven. Clueless.
The comment from waistcoat (and the press know-nowts) about booing Hendo the crab for heading to Saudi is all smoke and mirrors, Henerson gets booed because he's fucking shite

I tried to watch the friendly vs Oz on Friday but had to turn it off, very boring.

Ended up watching the Jimmy Savile programme instead.

I hope the fans boo Henderson again tonight. It's the only way the penny might drop with thicko Southgate that he shouldn't be anywhere near the national team.
It will just add to Southgate’s resolve to play him more. It will not benefit the player or the team, but Southgate can’t see past his nose. He will play him out of spite.

I dissagree, the idiot needs to understand that some of his decisions are not popular or the right ones.

Bellenderson will start, that's almost guaranteed. He's definitely Waistcoat's favourite, along with Slabhead.
Even to the detriment of the team those two will always be selected, over and above the more logical choices. We don't even have to wait to see the team sheet because we already have a very good idea of who the clueless-one will pick.
Slabhead will get in everybody's way trying to be a defender - and probably give away a penalty. It'll be hoofball from the keeper so we'll lose possession more often than not, and Henderson will complete every one of his passes...to the advertising hoardings.

And after yet another drab, flat, uninspiring 90-odd minutes Waistcoat will come out with the usual cliche's: "We weren't quite at the races, but we are making improvements," and football fans across the country will take to social media en-masse repeating the same hackneyed phrases they used the last time England played.
