England v Germany | Nations League | Monday 26th September, 19:45

As I say, come the major tournaments and after a couple wins all the previous friendlies gets totally forgotten about
I’d like to think that Southgate has German blood and comes good in major tournaments.

It’d be a major shock after how utterly shite we’ve been for 6 games.

Think Southgate had a brain fart.

Realised he had a team that could attack. Told them to do it. Scored 3 goals. Realised it was an improvement so reverted back to type.

So, Pope can neither catch the ball not kick it. He's bloody useless. Never let him anywhere near an England team again. Useless.
Totally agree.

Pope is an old fashioned keeper - can save them all day long.

However, if the ball comes anywhere near him, he's launching it as does not care less where it lands. Given we want to try to play out from the back, this lad should never be anywhere the England net. The defence have no confidence in passing it to him. I'm sure he did the same the last time he played for England as well.

pretty entertaining game for the last half an hour

Neither team is any great shakes. Maguire was the difference maker, just not in a good way
Begs the question of why he was playing in the first place. Southgate hasn’t helped a player, he’s just turned him into the new Phil Jones.

Same will be said for next England manager and the one after that and after that … no one will please

3-3 against Germany tonight - so blinded in your hatred you can’t appreciate that’s a good result, performance and a great match
It wasn’t a good performance at all. It was a shockingly bad 70 minutes, good 15 minute spell and then a bad error from Pope. For 70 minutes that was as bad as it’s been and it’s been pretty bloody bad for quite a while now. Don’t try and claim people calling southgates football out for what it is as just moaning, it’s reality.
