This German team is not ideal and they are tired. They played very aggressive and left a lot of holes in the 2nd half when the subs came on. But German did not have enough sub options on the bench today.

However going into World Cup I think that the first 3 teams and if we made it round 16 will be facing deep blocks. More like WCQ facing Poland Hungary etc. Doubt if SG's plan will work that well again.

Southgate playing it safe, playing out of form players and his unwillingness to change tatcics will be his downfall.

He was better second half but agreed he wasn’t great overall. As for maguire, who on here is in any way shocked by the mistakes he makes? Yet Southgate will continue to pick him and probably make him captain.

Tomori played very badly in England vs Italy game in the summer.

However I won't choose Maguire either.

They’re decent, but not likely to win the tournament, a bit like England.
