No surprise really, he’s not played that well in recent England games. Obviously he should be in the team somewhere but that moron boregate has opted for an extra shit centre half at the expense of an attacking player against the mighty Iran.

I don’t think Southgate has any idea how to use creative attackers which is why Foden has not played well for England. Kane coming deep all the time destroys our midfield and results in Raz isolated up front (Raz is no Son) and Foden in no man’s land. Kane should refrain from dropping deep and Foden should start in a role similar to that of Frank Lampard.

Not sure how reliable it is but been told Foden wont start and its a 4 of Mount, Saka, Sterling and Kane.

I don’t think Kane can play the Tottenham role for England, in terms of dropping deep. He’s really good at it, his range of passing and vision is exceptional at times , remember he topped both the goals and assists in the premier league a few years ago

But we don’t really have the players or finishers in the England team where we can afford Kane to drop deep and play that way. Him and Son have developed a good partnership that allows him to do it for Spurs.

England’s team always looks disjointed between defence and attack, that’s why I think he comes deep, otherwise he’s isolated. He would be better off staying up top and we play someone like Grealish who can actually carry the ball from the halfway line up to the final third, then Kane can stick to finishing.

I actually think Jack would be made for this England team, playing a bit more central. His ability to carry the ball would bridge that gap between the middle of the park and the opposition box, then Kane doesn’t need to be dropping deep. He’s s finisher, that’s why the record will be broken soon, so we should be building a side to make chances for him.

I think there are some very fine players in our squad. Teams have won tournaments with less quality.

We'll qualify top of the group, pretty sure of that, then it's Holland or Senegal next, which could be a lot worse. I think we'll lose to France in the Quarter-Final, but if we don't I'm predicting we'll play Spain in the final.

France are badly weakened thru injury: Pogba, Nkunku, Benzema, Kante all out. Must be a chance for someone.

Mine too, but Southgate is unlikely to drop his boys Mount and Sterling.

Shame really because I think those two changes would make our attacking lineup more dangerous and up there with anybody.

Sterling has usually done ok to be fair but Mount never seems to do a lot for England. He did ok when he come on against Germany not long ago but that’s it. He’s not on the same level as Foden.

The Qatar captain wore a Palestine flag armband yesterday and there was no fuss made about it.

I think Kane and co should just go for it and see what happens.

(FWIW I'm pro-Palestine in my personal views, I'm just making the point that it's another 'political symbol' so it would be quite hypocritical to book Kane).

Look at all Southgate’s favourites of the ball they work hard on the ball they a bunch of individuals who do what they want! Mount will have 3/4 shots Sterling will run down blind alleys Saka will run at dribble have shot! Foden last game for England was the only player trying to link the the team with his passing and movement! Southgate will start him Against wales our hardest game hopefully he will show Southgate what he can do! Problem with Southgate is he hasn’t given foden a run of games ever it 1 game here one game there take him of at 60mins! Maybe if he had faith in him he’d start him and make him the main man!

Foden could start a game, score a brace, be head 'n shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, and Southgate would have him on the bench for the next game.
