No Foden means he’s less likely to get injured and we’re more likely to go home early. Both of which are great for City, so I can get behind this team selection.
Crap team. No Foden, no Grealish. Mount, Saka, and Sterling all in. Can’t understand how Mount and Sterling merit inclusion ahead of our two. It’s not like they’ve shown any form at club level.
Apart from that the limitations of the squad are revealed. Goalkeeper is a clown. Shaw and Maguire have ruined the careers of better managers than Southgate. Not really Gareth’s fault, we just don’t have the players in those positions.
Glad I’ve got some beer in the fridge. I really feel for the England fans who’ve travelled that have to sit through this without any medicinal fluids.

Can Foden really complain? He was pretty crap in the euros then got injured. he is also not a midfielder for man city so i dont see how he can play that for england.

Predictably tepid lineup from Southgate, laughable how Sterling gets a game but there you go. Hard to get excited about this but let’s hope for a win. They’re gonna park the bus for the first hour, could be a painful watch this, hope I’m wrong
