Have you or do you live in Germany?

I like German beer

I haven't, so maybe I look through rose tinted eyes.

But it's not just Germany, the whole of Europe should put the past to rest and move forwards as Europeans, IMO. Holding grudges does not ultimately benefit the Continent of Europe. It's why I also cannot stand people who hold grudges against English people for the past.

Errr....not quite.

I don't drink beer, it's not very lady like! I'm not a big drinker but if I do drink, I like Cider and blackcurrant or pink champagne at special occasions.

The 4-2-3-1 is a model England should follow IMO, as long as the four players farthest forward are skillful, flair players but at the same time disciplined.
Wilshere-Barry/ Rooney-Gerrard-Ox/ X
That's the model I'd go for in qualifying providing everyone's fit because I have to agree, Rooney's sharpness and fitness was embarrassing. Happy to rotate Ox, no need to throw him in constantly

Re: Hodgson

I don't think he is.

Not due to what i have seen here but he has shown himself to be a yes man for the FA.
FA yes men never prosper in the job, then again nobody does.

I think he set it up in the best way he could. We're crying out for someone to control a game but we just don't have one. The quality of available players just isn't there.

Who do we have to run a game like Pirlo, Silva, Ozil, Modric?

I'll answer for you...... Nobody!!!

I cannot give you one name of an English player in this mould. Frightening

They're all different moulds to be fair.

Both Gerrard and Barry can run games for England, Rooney when he fancies it can make an impact too or Lampard if he's picked.

wilshere has the potential, he did not look out of place against xavi and iniesta against barca last year.

Do you all think Wilshere will be as good as he's hyped up to be?

I'm starting to think he seems to be a better player the longer he doesn't play, it's like his ability or perception of it is growing in people's minds.

The only good game he has had is against Barca with Fabregas at his side.

Couldn't give a toss about the ad nauseum European shite.
I've had to listen to 2 hours of ' mad moustache' Mark 'Prick' Lawrenson and Alan '23 caps for a shit team' Hanson.... no balls whatsoever fron a BBC pundit who could put these tossers in their plae...

Yes, he has an excellent touch, has a great engine, is a decent tackler, excellent dribbler and has good vision, so yes.
