England V Italy, Quarter Final 2012 (merged)

Does anyone think we can hurt them with our width? The Italians don't seem to have anyone covering their full backs as they play a narrow midfield - Young and Oxlade-Chamberlain/Milner would be ideal, with Cole and Johnson overlapping.

it's pathetic that people's hate over the scum has led them to hating three English blues above one Italian blue

hang your heads in shame

Who has said they hate Hart , Milner and Lescott?

Nobody has said they "hate" Hart, Milner and Lescott, its just people wanting Italy to win because of Balotelli and no rags in the Italian side as opposed to Hart, Milner and Lescott plus a couple of rags in the England side.

Rooney, Ashley Young, Wellbeck, Phil "king of comedy" Jones - I've no time for them whatsoever when they play for the rags.

However, if they score tonight and England win....... it won't benefit the rags one bit, they are irrelevant.

Come on England.

Should get funny on here when the defensive ones take unkind to the inevitable remarks about Balotelli from the pundits. Thing is though they'll be talking about the Italy striker, Mario Balotelli, not the Manchester City striker, Mario Balotelli.

Either way, they would say the same shit whatever club/nation he played for.

If it's there to be talked about, they'll talk about it.

Good point, well put!!

If he gets mardey with Lescott tonight, I would want Lescott to chin him....lol

If, it upsets the City camp, then of course I will be concerned, but Mancini is a strong enough manager to deal with it and also when players meet up again for pre-season training, then they should put any issues they have behind them.

Like I said earlier, the Ronaldo/Rooney winker affair didn't really affect them as much as the press said it would at the time. They went on to win the league the season after. I think people really think that pro footballers act as childish as they are made out to do. I've had beefs in work about more serious things than football, (which is essentially what 2 players would have a beef about, if it was there), but you get on with it. That is real life though, not football.
