Out of interest, has Glen Johnson ever scored by cutting inside and shooting from 30 yards with his left foot? Because he does it at least 3 times every England game and I can't recall him even getting close
Does this count?

He comes in running from the right hand side..

I hope we teach Sterling how to cross for Christ's sake. He got all these mad raving reviews for his positive gameplay and running, yet couldn't keep half his crosses inplay, let alone find the box or a team mate which essentially undid all his previous good work.

Rooney can stay the fuck away from corners as well after that horror corner.

Baines shouldn't be in the first 11 in my opinion. Granted Roy played a lop sided, unbalanced team and left Baines with less protection than Johnson and he should have spotted this then sorted it out, but I have always called out Baines for his suspect defending and last night was another example. And majority of his corners were shit as well.

Roy still doesn't his best 11, which will probably and ultimately see our end in the tournament at one stage or another but a positive performance. We need to learn our best 11 and finish our chances, and fast.

Sterling reminds me a lot of SWP when he was younger.

As in i don't think he's about playing crosses but running at players and looking for the simple pass or direct low hit powerful dinks across the 6 yard box towards the back post.

Shaw wouldn't of been much of an improvement. The Italian's would of preyed upon his lack of experience even more.

I didn't want Cole going originally but looking back now I think we need him.

My feelings exactly. The experience he has shouldn't be overlooked, even as a backup to come in if it wasn't working out for the newly selected lads. Baines may be alright in the next 2 matches, but as soon as we come up against top quality opposition again I will be concerned.

Sturridge left marking thin air.

Cole would of been a decent option but his form hasn't been at all impressive.

Cole hadn't played enough. It was the right decision for him not to go.
