Absolutely bang on. I am a FA referee and Frankly I am disgusted at how shite ourgrassroots football is compared to the rest of Europe. I am about to referee in spain this summer and I have refereed in Germany and I have watched grass roots football in Spain and they are miles ahead because the FAs and the governments are pumping large amounts of money into grass roots sport and top quality coaches. England are a fucking Joke.

yep and there in lies the massive problem in this country, my lad is 8 and is playing for his local team - the coaching is not great is very basic. Other teams met at tournaments are totally disgusting shouting and berating kids for making a mistake,

I have decided to take my lad to a local futsal team that is being recognised in the north west to improve him overall.

The grass roots level in our country is fucking shocking and has not moved any further onwards since I was kid back in 1985

I think we played really well and we will get better. Rooney and Gerrard are both the weaklinks. The young players all played brilliantly.

Enjoyed seeing a more attack minded England and the future looks bright with Sterling, Barkley, Sturridge etc..

Our defence is going to be our biggest downfall because it is shocking, arguably the worst out of the typically well known big nations in my opinion.

I am happy to see England attack more but Italy were there for the taking tonight.

I still think we will beat Uruguay and Costa Rica though.
