England v Italy

As much as I would like it to happen I don't think he will drop Rooney.

There's not a chance of him being drop in this world cup or the next as the FA corporate sponsors won't allow it. We had the same shit with Beckham being played for years and years when he was shit just to please those cunts.

I thought England played well yesterday with 10 men and one useless **** on the pitch. If we could get rid of Rooney and actually have 11 players on the pitch we might actually stand a chance at international level.

I said it last night and I will say it again now, I really enjoyed watching England last night.

I thought attacking-wise we were top notch but just not clinical and if I am honest I can see us scoring goals against most if not all teams in this competition.

Our defence is the let down though, it's awful!

Sterling is England's star, the lad was top quality last night and put a market down for potential young player of the tournament last night, lets hope he keeps it up!

We will beat Uruguay and Costa Rica in my opinion.

It was a decent performance, let down by poor defending, but that was sort of expected, seeing as we actually took the game to Italy.
Gerrard and Rooney both struggled at times, partly due to Roy's tactics.
Oxlade Chamberlain wasn't fit so couldn't be brought on.(for those who asked why he wasn't selected)
I thought the referee was excellent.

Too many rags and dippers involved for even the slightest fuck to be given. Hopefully England will be less naive and better organised when it comes to checking in for their impending flight home.

Our more attacking style is what made our defence vulnerable. A bit like Liverpool last season. Looks good on the eye but eventually gets found out. Italy always looked like they were playing with in themselves. We tired badly and then ended up getting in each others way. Sterling looked great but ran out of gas for the last third of the match. At least we gave it a go. Not confident we can progress further though.

I enjoyed the game and thought that Sturridge and Sterling were very dangerous indeed.

Rooney is a player that has been one of the top premiership players for a number of years. So were Ian Wright and John Barnes and a number of others, hyped by the British media and English fans but under-performing at international level. We expect a lot of these players and when they are not excellent they get lambasted by the nation. Rooney last night, assist apart, was simply not at the level he should be.

Rooney has an excellent goalscoring record at this level but he is not a left sided midfielder and continually exposed Baines to one on ones against a very pacy right wing back. If he is moved back in to the centre I think his position is now questionable as there are a number of central attacking players who are in better form.

I believe we can win the other two games to go through. If we don't, I think some players have shown that there is a brighter future ahead.
