Probably, I remember UEFA wasn't allowing sponsorship stadiums too, not sure if it is now too. I recall Allianz Arena being called Bayern Arena for CL matches.
 
Not sure if I imagined it but think Gary Lineker had to refer to it as CoMS not Ethiad in City's champions league games due to sponsorship clashes.
