This England team is the best in a long while. Maybe not individually but collectively this starting 11 is perfect. The problem will be Hodgson and as you say his insistence on Rooney starting. He is a poor manager on every level and is lucky to have the job after the World Cup debacle.

It's the first time in ages that it looks balanced. No players squeezed in on reputation.

Englands defence is definitely the weak point, Danny Rose got done, not sure if Hart should have come. I'd play Bertrand ahead of Rose.
