You have just to a tee described every performance from sterling in an England shirt but because rashford plays for United you can see it and say it. May I ask in an England shirt what sterling brings to the table to make him a guaranteed starter ahead of rashford?
Apart from intelligent movement, link up play and is a better passer you mean?

Vardy creates space for people, but is half the player against a deep defence - against Belgium maybe, but not against Panama/Tunisia.
Similarly, I'd play Henderson ahead of Dier in the first two, when England should have more of the ball.
If it's 5-3-2, then there are only 3 attacking positions free as Henderson/Dier has one, and Kane has another. Sterling, Alli, Rashford, Loftus-Cheek for two places, and then there's Delph as well for the middle.
For Panama/Tunisia, I'd think about whether it's possible to play another forward player and reduce the defence (not that I know much about either!).
Where did this competition for places come from?

He's a better passer of the ball than Rashford all day and twice on a fucking Sunday. Rashford is wank, runs down more blind alleys and gives the ball away than anyone bar Wellbeck, Yet he scores the odd decent goal and he's the next Messi. Sterling is struggling for goals in the England set up, fuck all else.
