I think that Joe can count himself lucky that Jack Butland is injured, otherwise he would be on the bench already.

Well, he is. Can you think of any better? I can't. Infact, I can't think of a better English keeper currently playing the game. England are awful in general, theres a reason that the Premier league is only 30% domestic players.

Jack Butland is a shout, but a VERY distant one.

If i was going to get all poncy i would say that perceived individual skill levels per team weighed against overall performances we would be very close yeah.

To be fair, they did say that a CB should have been marking him instead of Rooney.

I agree with that, but losing that first header cost them the goal, not the second.

Win that first header and the danger is gone, the ball never goes into a really dangerous area.
