Enough is enough

They locked the entire press pack in the press room after the press conference two weeks ago and two City executives came in and basically gave them what for over their treatment of Pep.

The issue for me is that since Soriano/Txiki have come in, they themselves are completely unavailable to the press. The issues begin and end there for me. If either man were prepared to engage with someone in the press on even a semi regular basis I suspect some of the shit would stop. As it stands the powers that be are so far removed from the media that the media feel they can write what they like.

As a contrast, the likes of James Ducker, Sam Wallace, these guys have got Ed Woodward on speed dial.

Ed Woodward on speed dial - that must be a privilidge - I guess they must discuss bullion algebra. I don't like high profile Chief Execs - but accept having three Spaniards in the top jobs means the Head of Communications needs to step up. I can't comment on Vicky Kloss but we seriously need a strategy to move things on with the media.

You can only manage the PR you can control and there are those articles the club do that are positive, where the club give access to players in return for a favourable write up. The problem is they are drowned out by the mountain load of negative stuff written. It's unrealistic to expect the club to be able to control these imbeciles with their own agendas and audiences. There is really the sum total of f*ck all the club can do.

They could ban every journalist going, not do interviews but then they would be in breach of premier league rules.

To educate honest I don't give a sh*t what these tw*ts write or what other fans think. I would rather the truth was written but unfortunately it's not going to happen. When it does bother me is when our own fans swallow this shit and bring the club down.

Ignore it, don't give them the fuel or response they crave that's the only way to beat them. They believe in their power to influence read the Sun headline 'it's the sun wot won it' after the general election. The best thing you can do is refuse to believe the sh*ts and take their egotistical power away...

100% agree , sorry Billy but it's not fucking good enough by the clubs hierarchy.

Take that how you want.

Good post but regarding the last paragraph many of us went with that a few years back and thought 'ok give it a while'. The fact is they are as snipy and arsy with us now as they have ever been since the takeover. I think we should try the banning tbh, what are they gonna do write a bad article about us :-)

What time and at which entrance do these scumbags arrive at the ground? A welcoming committee would be nice.
You wouldn't let somebody rip the shit out of your family all week, then let them show up for Sunday dinner without having to face any consequences...
They used to go in via Entrance T, just by the Memorial Garden, but not sure if the new Tunnel Club has changed that. Someone else said that they saw Ashton about 90 minutes before kick-off so I guess they'll be arriving about 4. We really should make them run the gauntlet. Not physical violence of course (although Ashton getting a good kicking would be deliciously poetic) but give them back the verbal abuse they give us.

The differences are obvious.

1, bluemoon as it good as it is does not set or influence public perception.
2, discussion and criticism are balanced out by threads like this that want the best for the club. A balance is normally set.
3, idiotic nonsense is normally met with disdain and factual response.

The later 2 are effectively what we are asking of the club.
Correct the idiots with facts.

If you don't think the media read what is written on Bluemoon and then allow that to inform what they write you're being incredibly naive.

Not sure exactly what role Vicky Kloss fulfills in the PR department, but she and whoever are failing spectacularly as our media coverage is absolute rock bottom.

If banning the cockroaches who continually attack the club doesn't work, what exactly have we lost ?

Fucked if you don't, and equally fucked if you do .

A win against Spurs today would definitely help though, as our run of bad results is like manna from heaven to the shithouse journalists.

Hi Vicki. Maybe they care if you've got £15k to spend on a seat in the Tunnel Club but all the available evidence shows that they don't give a shit about most of the other fans.

Hi Colin, thanks for the input. If you hadn't noticed we advertised for a Media Liason Office last year. You should've applied as you often have a lot to say about how the club should be run. ;)
