Money and FFP no object at Chelsea now then ?
**BREAKING NEWS**
Chelsea have just activated Enzo's €120m release clause! :-/
no it wouldnt, prob a good 1/3 or half though for the first year. With the way the contracts are set up, I read somewhere that selling Gallagher alone for 45m pounds would offset our entire spend for 2023.

Oh okay, not bad then. We just have to continue to trim the squad bit by bit.

Sell Chillwell to us then.
In terms of long-term amortisation, HOWEVER the potential issues will arise if you can't shift players & have to loan them out & partially pay wages. With the way the contracts are set up, I read somewhere that selling Gallagher alone for 45m pounds would offset our entire spend for 2023.

If Chelsea pick up (which I expect they will next season), it won't be an issue. If they don't & need to keep buying & need to shift expensive players on big wages, you'll have to sell at a loss or suck up having to pay squad players, whose squad place & high wages are blocking you getting new players.
It's risky business, but a gamble which will be worth it if it comes off. If it doesn't though.... \0/
