Eric Garcia joins Barcelona

Good luck to the guy, going back home and playing at a great club.

Going to be tough for you, good luck playing along side Piquet and Roberto, you may miss us more than you think!

I am not for calling him out, if anything Pep is to blame as he left him exposed by playing him in a high line and out of position. In time he might be moved to CDM role as he is decent at tackling and anticipation but would need support around him and not a midfield like City play

It will have been a good experience being around this team but it was ultimately not a good fit for either player or us. I wish him well as I would any player leaving the club

I actually think he might be decent as a defensive midfielder. Makelele and Kante aren’t the tallest and whilst Garcia will never be as good as them he looks like he’d be better suited to that role than centre back.

He does seem to read the game quite well and his tackling is decent. Just his lack of pace, height and strength let him down in defence. He needs to get in the gym. Never right for us as a centre back.
 
Good luck to him. Maybe not good enough for a first pick but wasn't any trouble and did his best. Some absolute whoppers on his thread who need to find a bit of humility.

I think a forum that spent the last year moaning if he was selected and slagging him off in the match day threads need to be more honest and not hypocritical now he's finally going.

Hope he has a decent career for himself, but not gonna pretend I care about it.


Not saying you ever slagged him but many who did will give false platitudes I am sure.
 
He went from next best thing to overrated and awful overnight because he decided he wanted to go home.

All the best to him, also posted a fairly classy farewell post on his socials.

Wouldn't blame him on wanting to go home, hope he succeeds but has shockers against us should we cross paths again
