Yeah, unless I’m reading it wrong, I find it hard to believe we like Semedo so much that we’d be willing to swap Cancelo for him PLUS let them talk to Garcia. How much do they think we like Semedo!??? Seems too unlikely to be true to me. At least the Cancelo swap bit anyway. But I do wonder if Garcia’s made his mind up to leave.

Maybe Garcia does want to go back, but the fact that they included that Cancelo part 24 hrs after Pep was effusively praising the guy leads me to believe its all BS. Otherwise that part wouldn’t be in the story.

Unsure how this will pan out but what I will say is that he is likely not the answer to your defensive issues, much like he isn't the answer to ours. He is a kid with a lot of potential and he is fantastic on the ball. He will be great in an already rock-solid defence but he wont make a rubbish defence rock-solid.

The longer he goes without signing a contract extension, the more I do worry. We've been hearing for months it's close.

If he's not going to sign an extension any time soon then we'll have to sell him while he still has some value. Be a shame but if he wants to go back to Spain there's nothing we can do.

Valencia are asking 35 Million for Ferran, based on that Barca can have Garcia for 33 Million.

I wouldn't be devastated if we sold Garcia tbh. I think he's a quality player but not sure his physicality is massively suited to the prem. 25-30 mil out of Barca and I think its a good deal. Particularly if not taking it leads to him leaving on a free anyway.

Similar was said about Piqué. Trust in the cantera and he’s been a leader at every youth level
