Eric Garcia to Barcelona

Yeah, his U10 year is basically the same developmentally as being nurtured into an EPL starter with a Champios League start by one of the greatest managers alive.

One can only imagine what his last three years of development would have been under the shitshow succession of managers at Barca.

Keep up, I have previously acknowledged the weighting of player development at different stages. There's no question that 3 years under Pimienta would've been inferior to that of Guardiola but he has only been exposed to the first team mostly in this past season rather than 3 years of Pep tutelage. Moreover, he did not arrive at 16 as some unpolished obscure talent - he was a massive loss at the time specifically because of how great a talent he was at every youth category (including Captain), even U10

In an accurate edit, it should be stated he has partly been developed by City under Pep

Still on this window apparently stupidity unless one of our targets is in the bag imo. Not in squad tonight.

Id take 18m for him in a hearbeat

However the fact that Barca were supposedly trying to get the lad from Norwich on free loan for a year should tell everyone how much of a state they are in financially.

I'd take €18m for him tbh. Obviously more would be ideal but keeping a player who's set on leaving for nothing next year does no one any good. Get some cash in for him, make a profit of around €16m on him and use it toward the last purchase(s) of the window.

18m is great business, the fee has crept up every few weeks. He is less than 3mths away from agreeing a free transfer so why wouldn't we take a sum like that.
