Eric Garcia to Barcelona

I don't agree with this decision by the club. I understand Barca haven't offered what we want but 15m is still better than whatever we will get in January or next summer for a 5th choice CB. There are sometimes times when standing firm is in better interest of the club but Eric fucking Garcia isn't this case.
I couldn't give one fuck about "sticking it to Barca/Napoli" if we can't sign our A targets or get rid of players we don't need.

City look to buy and think a player is ‘worth’ £65M and this thread is full of people telling to pay £85/90/95M to ‘get it done’. They then look to sell and think a player is worth close to £20M and the thread is full of people saying get him sold for £10M or less.
If any of you are interested in moving house or changing your cars let me know.........

When we walk away from a deal, many people on here whinge that we should pay whatever the selling club want. When we walk away from a deal, many on here say we should have accepted whatever was offered. Now, I am not a master of negotiating but it seems to me that if this was my strategy I would enter every single deal known as the club that will do whatever the other party wants; no thanks.

Given that we are England's most successful football club in the decade, and one of the globe's fastest-growing football businesses, it is amazing how much the board is utterly slated. Am I one of the few who thinks they are doing a good job?

If your car is worthless and someone offers you a little less than your own finger in the air valuation, you’d be advised to take it

City aren’t actively selling Garcia, or at least shouldn’t have been, it is a damage limitation exercise.

Sums it up for me. £15m seems more than fair for a player we hopefully never need, we already have four senior centre backs better than him, plus THB coming through.

On top of that, Garcia already said he wants to leave, so why would we keep him and pay his wages to sit here wishing he was at Barca.

I wish we'd been this stubborn over Sané and kept him! Garcia is fucking shit, not needed, doesn't want to be here and will now end up leaving for free in a few months. Stupid and wrong decision by the club.

Zinchenko gets it from some of our fans but at least he has only ever wanted to stay and fight for a place, it's the reason why he has medals now coming out of his pockets.

Garcia, having initially told City he wanted a new deal (and offered one) doesn't want to be here.

As far as I'm concerned, a deal should have been reached.

Garcia will also likely pay the price not going to the Euros next summer if he's not anywhere near our team.

We are going forward without him, in that respect, Taylor Harwood-Bellis deserves to play in any weakened Cup team or injury crisis, irrespective of whether it makes us weaker.
