Eric Garcia to Barcelona

Garcia is a whiny kid. Jumping around when he doesn't get what he wants. Would have been happy if he left but good for city that they didn't let Barca bully them.

Barcelona behaved appallingly and now some fans are annoyed we wouldn't let them dictate to us?
There’s plenty on here who believe we don’t get value when selling. We should be tougher and not a soft touch. There was even a thread on it.

Let’s trust the guys who are paid to run the business. I’m sure they know what they’re doing!

Doesn't mean it's objective, hence why all of this has the feel of agendas being played out like children with marbles

You come across a a fucking spoilt child.. Your shitty club wouldn't or couldn't meet the valuation of OUR PLAYER.. Its a simple process either pay up or shut up..
We set a fee we require to release el magnifico but you didn't think he was worth it.. So exactly how is it like kids playing marbles..

The more i think about this deal, the more reasonable i think we have been. After all, we all know Stones cannot stay fit enough to reliably be our 4th choice CB and fight for a starting place, so it's more than likely we will need someone considering the amount of games in a short period. I'm sure the club thought that maybe Fern could be used again as an emergency, but it didn't work out last season and it wouldn't this time round either.
As long as the kid will be professional, which by all accounts he will, i think we have made the right decision here.

More importantly than the financial geniuses that are wetting their knickers on here the sheikh trusts him, that will do for me.

Sums it up for me. £15m seems more than fair for a player we hopefully never need, we already have four senior centre backs better than him, plus THB coming through.

On top of that, Garcia already said he wants to leave, so why would we keep him and pay his wages to sit here wishing he was at Barca.

I wish we'd been this stubborn over Sané and kept him! Garcia is fucking shit, not needed, doesn't want to be here and will now end up leaving for free in a few months. Stupid and wrong decision by the club.
Its like they were desperately trying to force Sane out the door but with Garcia they see "something that we don't see" and seem desperate to keep him.

So Tosin for 2mil and Garcia on a free is good business?

I think an agreement will be reached for around £15m in January. The threat of us signing Messi on a pre-contract if Barca fuck about should be enough to get them to cough up.

His current market value there is listed as €50M, I think he's worth more but don't find it undervaluing for a 17 year old either. By the time he is the same age as Garcia, I suspect it will more than double if not triple too
I hope you grow up and read your posts after a few years. Do you think transfermkt is a FIFA based open market? Its a random webiste with values THEY deem ok. People dont sell a player at a certain value because transfermkt has a certain value. Thats like saying Tom Heaton gave the most fantasy points this year in FPL and should be the highest paid goalkeeper.
