He will be foolish to go Barcelona at this stage. Barca are in shambles. Even Messi is tested to limit. He may not leave but there are certainly deep deep issues. He has amanager who is trusting him.

If his head had been turned, the I’d be surprised to see Pep play him so much. He’ll be rotated regularly as a first teamer along with two others alongside Laporte IMO

Yep, and the fact it has taken the penultimate game of the season, a dead rubber meaningless run-out, for him to be given a proper go at LB would suggest that he was not bought to be the first choice LB.

It cannot be that bad if we are only 3 goals worse off than the Champions and let's not forget the goals chalked off pools record by VAR. I think our defence gets criticism because we defend very high and when a mistake is made it invariably leads to a goal and looks Keystone cops stuff. We cannot have the football we have with Pep's attacking style without it. What would you prefer?

It’s a valid argument but there’s no getting away from the fact that when teams come at us our defence often look like they have never played together before in their lives. It’s hard to explain but sadly true.
