To expand on above, putting 'done and dusted' in quotations because I mean Truly done and dusted, as in fully agreed and everyone sits on them for a year which seems to be the assumption. It also isn't aimed at any one poster's claim, more the general concept.
I know there is interest and discussions that happen ahead, and maybe outline figures and broad indication of agreement. That happens regularly. But to call it really all done? I struggle with that. Particularly when we see most often how long into a window they go on, sometimes collapse and or change, even after supposedly having been done and dusted even as late as that morning.
Some clubs do sometimes agree deals beforehand, but they announce them straight away, sealing it and avoiding any change. Seen so many expected deals turn out completely different that I really don't think deals are ever truly fenced off a season before.
