Have you read his Pep biography and seen the access he had to him?
Yes , he has had in the past a close relationship , especially for the biography.
What concerns me about Ballague and others (Romano comes to mind) is that they get to a stage where they feel like they cannot say " I don't know", but rather develop a narrative where they infer that they have inside knowledge of everything.
We have 2 fellahs on Sky that do this regularly, everytime transfer windows come around.
Maybe I am an old sceptic, but where the press and the media are concerned Pep is not too far away from that stance.
Anyway it is often interesting to read your views, but remember we read the biggest loads of shite from supposed sports journalists on a daily basis here.
Ballague was the chief exponent of the "He won't go to Manchester City, he wants to go to United" storyline we had for years.
In fact, I know he was peddling that line on sky after Pep had already signed his contract with City in November 2015.
He knows nothing.
If you want journalists to get the inside line, Pol Ballus, Lu Martin and Marti Perarnau are the ones to listen to. They are Pep's friends after spending a year plus with him daily, and they speak very rarely because they don't need to.
If you’re going to forever ignore every journalist that once made a mistake, there will be none leftI just couldn't persuade our Brazilian friend-)
And will have a look at those you mentioned, cheers.
I just tend to ignore journalists that ply their trade in transfer rumour and gossip on twitter. Because we know for a fact apart from the odd snippet it’s aim is to drive clicks and traffic and not much to do with journalism. If you’re going to forever ignore every journalist that once made a mistake, there will be none left

I actually do that ,ignore them . I don't believe they have info from the people that matter.
You are asking me to believe that pep or other club executives give out info to journalists. This is totally counter productive to the transfer business they are trying to achieve.
On the other hand if a journalist writes a match report, a biography, an invited interview, then I am happy to read it, assess it, and occasionally enjoy it.
You quoted an article from the SUN yesterday, why bother to do that ?
Clubs absolutely do give transfer steers and updates to trusted patch journos.
City do it plenty.
Usually when a name comes out somewhere.
Same reason I was laughing at the Mendes stuff Romano was peddling all summer, as City had already briefed to the trusted at the end of last season he was not a target.
I remember a few times when City have let it be known they aren’t interested in a particular player, not so much the other way round though.Clubs absolutely do give transfer steers and updates to trusted patch journos.
