So spending a billion plus in 12 years & spending £100m on one player isn’t being serious?

I’d love to hear what you consider as being serious?

Plus what if Pep veto’s it & doesn’t want him? Hardly Khadoon’s fault if that happens is it?

I’m really not following your logic about being serious mate. I think we have the most serious board in football
If you don't do everything you can to try to sign a generational talent (actually generational, not the guys that come around every year) at a position of need for a reasonable release clause and the excuse if that you don't like the agent or something dumb like that then you aren't serious. That's the logic.

You've no idea what the reason will be yet if we fail, so there's a lack of logic to attribute blame/lack of seriousness

Unless Grealish turns out to be a great signing, which, seeing as he’s a great player isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
Of course the few on here who have already made their minds up on him after less than 20 games will continue to tell everyone else he’s a waste of money.
I haven’t made up my mind yet, but I am starting to form an opinion.
I really hope he’ll kick on and make me re-assess over the next 6 months. Y’know, when he hits that screamer in the ECL final ;-)

So you’re ignoring the fact of the money we’ve spent since 2008 & the fact we’ve just broken the British transfer record?

You also believe if we don’t sign him it’s because Pep doesn’t like Raiola, which is pure fantasy considering we’ve dealt with Raiola whilst Pep’s been manager

Who has a more serious board than ours cos I can’t think of any, which I’d suggest is backed up by the whole infrastructure of the club & what we’ve won? Our board is on a completely different level to any other club in my humble opinion

Still not understanding your opinion mate. Makes no sense to me whatsoever

Ok that's fine, agree to disagree.

Well anyone making a judgement on a player we buy under Pep in their first season is a fool.
Having more money in an imaginary pot makes bugger all difference to what we are prepared to pay for Haaland. We will have a vlaue on him and being able to pay over that value doesn’t mean we would or should.
Well I'd love nothing more than Grealish to prove his worth!

I’m sure you would, I’m just unsure what it is that makes you think unlike all the other players that took a while to adjust Grealish won’t. Plus you still haven’t explained haw it changes the value we put on Haaland.

I don't doubt he will improve, he certainly should under the tutelage of the worlds finest coach. He has some excellent footballing traits but I don't think he is good enough to be in our front 3. I don't mean to be disingenuous with that comment, I don't think he has enough pace, strong enough finishing or his clinical goal scoring ability is strong enough. His decision making will improve and a future Gundogam replacement certainly a possibility, but again I'm not sure he is good enough for number one choice for our starting front 3 again.
I personally don't think we would have been so desperate to sign him if he wasn't English, which is a big plus point with the perceived imminent departure of Sterling.

I did answer the question, all the money comes from the same pot and like it or not we are constrained by FFP. I'd hate to see us lose out on Haaland because we have overspent on other areas.
