oh but it was bought back for the pen ?It was disallowed as the ref deemed Haaland to have fouled Fernando.

Correct. After the foul (that wasn't a foul) they stopped to review the previous passage of play.oh but it was bought back for the pen ?
I can see him playing out his last season then getting a whopping signing on fee & huge wage contract, he can stand to get at least £30m signing on fee & let's say £500.000 a week for 6 years so we are talking £182m deal spread over the legnth, makes total sense to hang on 12 months espeacialy after the last 12 months of covidMbappé's wage demands are going to be so large due to his profile. He's had 4 years now of being branded as the next big thing, he's played an important role in a world cup win, he plays for PSG, he's got big links with Nike and Air Jordan through PSG. Basically he's extremely marketable already and he's only going to increase on that front, and with his age that's going to last a loooooong time. So he can demand huge wages.
Right now Haaland's major appeal is solely on the pitch stuff. That may change but he's not in the position to ask for what Mbappé would. He might ask for a big amount but I don't think it'd be beyond anything City would offer.
Agree, the only way I could see this is if Dortmund won’t negotiate without Jesus in exchange or something like that.Very hard to believe any club, let alone City, would sell a promising 23 year old forward in order to keep a 33/34 year old who's been out of action for 90% of the last year.
Absolute best case scenario you sell Jesus in a covid deflated market, Aguero is back up for a year, and then you have to spend £70m+ on someone as good as Jesus in 2022.
I'd let gabby go. He's NEVER going to start scoring with the regularity we need. I'm putting my neck out saying that but i stand by it in the hope of being proven wrong.Agree, the only way I could see this is if Dortmund won’t negotiate without Jesus in exchange or something like that.
I still think he could become a starting wingerI'd let gabby go. He's NEVER going to start scoring with the regularity we need. I'm putting my neck out saying that but i stand by it in the hope of being proven wrong.
I don't think he'd go United unless they offered him silly money. Look at Pogba, best he has to show for his time there is a 2nd place finish and the Europa League.I do genuinely feel like this guy is a generational opportunity like Hazard and Mbappe were. It’s not a regular occurrence that someone of such obvious quality becomes available. Whether we’ll sign him when nobhead clubs like United will be offering him £350k a week is another matter.
You do know you're posting in the Erling Haaland thread? I'm only asking as I can't figure out who it is you're describing.Defo hes a good player. Still raw, but would do well under Pep's guidance. Would suit our style better compared to lets say Liverpools. Liverpool players run at high pace/energy. Their front 3, just run like crazy. This guy aint that sort. He will close defence down, but is more big built so obviously slow. And would suit a team/style of patient build up like our style of football under Pep.
We tried and failed to go after Mbappe, Felix, De Ligt and Frenkie De JongIf we get him be the first time we go for someone who all the big clubs desperately want! It’s time for city get it done even if you have to pay of fathers and agents with big money
I can't see him staying at Dortmund without Champs League football next season, especially with his current record in the competition. I really don't think it's all about the money for him, I feel the "project" and what is on offer counts just as much.I can see him playing out his last season then getting a whopping signing on fee & huge wage contract, he can stand to get at least £30m signing on fee & let's say £500.000 a week for 6 years so we are talking £182m deal spread over the legnth, makes total sense to hang on 12 months espeacialy after the last 12 months of covid
Who wouldn't want a piece of him for £31m a year?
One thing you'd get in abundance with gabby on the wing is decent tracking back...we all remember him vs madrid. He looked superb.id have Jesus on the wing, i reckon he'd be better suited as his overall play (apart from scoring regularly/defending near the box) is very good.
Happy to have Haaland, but don't see it happening
No.Much as he's been excellent this season, could we use Gundog as a bargaining chip in a swap plus cash?
yeh sorry about that, i was referring to Erling playing style. My point was, he suits Pep style of play more so than Liverpools. Our style more patient, pass etc. And wouldn't suit liverpool's direct kick and rush style. Thats all.You do know you're posting in the Erling Haaland thread? I'm only asking as I can't figure out who it is you're describing.
