"Chunky'', indeed, and immediately offset by the wages we save on Sergio and Fern.

It's a neutral cost transfer.

Well, if you discount about £20m in other fees ;)

Put it this way, if Sergio were in his prime and a few years younger, we'd be offering him an extension which would probably involve a pay rise to a similar level that we'd pay a new top choice striker. So even excluding Dinho's wages, the difference or increase to replace Sergio is something almost inevitable, at that level.

If you were well informed about the operational side of the club you'd know the wage structure was pretty tight. Excessive salary demands are knocked on the head, or become a dealbreaker, early on in any transfer process. As TH said, he'll likely be coming in at around 350k - still chunky but nowhere near £600k plus.

i never said £600K ?
so your saying the wage structure is tight so last summer reports of messi coming to city on nearly £1million a week
look city will have to break many club records to sigh haaland and the wage structure will be one of them

David De Gea and Marcus Rashford - both on £375k a week - let that sink in...

Erling and Grealish are going to add some serious bite to the team.

You sound very confident it's going to happen. :)

Those are 2 massive deals and i feel like it's still very unlikely. When was the last time we signed 2 players of this magnitude in the same window?
