Interestingly after seeing his game last night I think he would improve massively under Pep.

He seems to instinctively take up good positions when his team don’t have the ball and looks a danger for interceptions; however his pressing is almost half hearted and not directed.

He did also get very frustrated last night and drop into the middle of midfield giving them a problem with no target up top.

A real beast of a player, but I think he will look at replays, look at how our forwards play and realise how much he could improve with pep - hopefully that makes his mind up that it’s not just about the money.

Amazing talent though and very scary to play against.

PS - as for him out muscling Dias he didn’t. Dias was off balance due to Harlaands speed and Dias not being able to match it on the turn.

Anyone else notice how we went out of his way to not run on the city crest coming out of the tunnel, defo a top City fan and dropping subtle hints ;)

Will make us unstoppable!

Sorry but I think that's confirmation bias. You could just as easily read that as superstition or that he wanted to avoid the obvious photo, where he's stood in the centre of a massive Man City badge, being splashed on the sports pages of every newspaper in Europe.

Well only if you want to think negatively

Trying to understand the logic in which walking around the badge draws less attention than stepping on it like his teammates.
Also talked to a Dortmund fan about it. If it’s a “superstition”, it’s a new one...

it can easily be a superstition. I 100% buy that. Footballers are crazy superstitious. Easily checked, does he do it in in other games where badges are on the ground.

Coincidental, I find that less easy to beleive. He looks like he deliberately navigated it.

For fear of not being photographed standing on the badge and that photo misused in the media to link him to a move, not buying that one bit. That is anti-confirmation bias and devils advocate taken to absurd.

Respect for the club his dad played for, and he watched some of as a kid, that seems most logical.

Doesn't mean he wants to or is coming here, but it doesnt mean highlighting it is daft and meaningless either. It is just a comment and opinion on a gesture that happened.
