The Pizza Boy doesn't do subtle ! Interestingly, that stunt may have been directed by Dortmund more than Raiola - who may be the ones most affected by the lack of cash in this years transfer market.

I think you’re right there, definitely looks more like a ploy to get BVB a bigger fee. Especially as Raiola says he embarked on his tour shortly after being told by BVB that Haaland was strictly not for sale. Doesn’t add up.

Obviously this is just speculation. But I'm surprised at how sanguine Mino was. His comments about there being no war with BVB were particularly interesting.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if him and BVB are in cahoots to get the biggest fee possible this summer.

Well that is his job!

I would say no, not deliberately or pre-agreed cahoots anyway. My take on it, both are playing out the script. Both know how it ends. On some level, that possibly is 'cahoots', but both are experienced enough that unsaid is enough. The rest is just playing out their parts.

...or (I'm being optimistic) the deal is agreed both with Haaland and his club, and Mino is just letting Dortmund arrange this public drama the way they want

It has happened before tbf, but yes, either way whether it's a tacit "lets play hard to get" or it's one of those unsaid things. Also, I'm minded to not completely write off the idea of a release clause. Maybe Mino's sanguine nature is because he knows at a certain fee they have to sell.

True. But I do think it would be playing out slightly differently if there was one.
Certainly wouldn't see prices being claimed by Dortmund's sources.

Mino not shouting it from the rooftops if there was one, I can half understand however.

I know what you mean. I think what has gotten me more suspicious of the whole situation is the way that BVB and Sancho's people handled his contract extension. Watzke announced it last summer six months after he signed the deal. There were a lot of suggestions at the time that United were blindsided by it as they'd not heard that from Sancho's people.

Shows that Dortmund have a close relationship with the agents they deal with, something which is reinforced in Guardiola's repeated jibes about how much they pay in agent's fees for young players.

Mino probably on another commission the more Dortmund get the more Mino gets..

i think this is the case and its why he is trying to sell him to others knowing everything but the price as been agreed with city. also he does not want one of this players going to us because we will close the door on any involvement with him once he signs for city. even haaland could wash his hands of mino once at city with only a season left on his contract with haaland

I think Mino does what his clients want. Not the other way round. So the important thing is to keep his client happy IMO.

if only this was true ?? we have seen it with others under him like pogba
the agent is pimping his players to the highest bidders and united was fooled not once but twice

It is true. It's weird that people think Mino thinks for the likes of Pogba, Ibra, Haaland et al. These are some of the most opinionated, single minded, driven athletes in the business.

His client is the player, and why the hell should Haaland care about the fee? The agent’s job is to deliver a move to his client’s preferred destination, not to deliver a higher price for Dortmund.
