Erling Haaland

Without injuries Andy Carroll would have been an excellent striker. He had a genuinely rare combination of size, speed and technical ability and I quite like it when he pops up with a wonder goal every season or 2 to remind everyone he exists.

Even at West Ham for a good few seasons he was managing a goal every other game despite only being fit enough to play half the games and constantly returning from injury.

He moved too soon.

Was a great prospect, while showing the great danger of signing someone with a considerable injury record.

My bet is that Chelsea have got absolutely zero interest in paying the sort of figures it'll take to land Haaland this summer.
I really hope so! I’m so underwhelmed with Kane that it would be a massive kick in the spuds. I know I sound so spoilt but Kane is just a bland transfer that doesn’t excite me at all. #firstworldproblems

Because they have never paid what it takes to sign a player they want.

If they want the player, and can convince him to come, they will pay it. They won't even haggle over some 5m, they'll meet on a price and get it done.

The only thing worth keeping an eye on in this transfer saga IMO is the North Rhine-Westphalia government and their approach to fans returning. At the moment it's 100% capacity, but Bavaria has capped attendance and with a summer wave of cases on the horizon, other states may follow.

If Dortmund get their attendences capped, Haaland might be on the move. Otherwise I don't see it.

If Haaland goes to Chavs and scores like last few years they will be on a par with us. They were decent last season and Werner couldn’t hit a barn door. I watched a few Bundesliga games to watch this guy and personally think we’re missing a future star. Time will tell

Possibly, but I don't see them reducing the price, and I don't see Marina doing the deal at the mooted prices. I also think that whenever you start to see stories of "club X will buy player Y by selling 3/4 first team players" you know that deal isn't happening.

Still got a feeling it will be..
