I don’t have the energy to respond to the other replies, but I think you get the point. It’s like I’ve read people say a few times, we should be a bit like Chelsea in that we don’t care about what people say with regards to money — or PSG for that matter. Instead, I get the feeling that even small comments by Klopp seem to bother us. That way it’s going to be tough down the line.
It seems sometimes that we are trying to act like Bayern when the environment around us does not allow for this attitude of moral superiority.
And to be fair, I think Khaldoon meant to be ambitious this summer, if you look at his interview months ago. Just didn’t have the planning and attitude to do so - yet
After an incredible season and after the disappointment of the Champions League final, I fully expected the club to go heavy in the transfer market, to continue to dominate domestically and to complete the dream of becoming European Champions.

This summer was the perfect time to do it. A vast majority of clubs struggling and unable to compete financially.

We started well with the acquisition of Grealish, somewhat of a luxury with the players we have already, but a player with the ability to become a major star.

But today with the window about to close, we have failed to bring in a striker that the club needs so badly, and if we were to lose Bernardo and Laporte, in my opinion we have gone backwards.

That isnt a take i agree with, but it is also very different to saying 'we are being laughed at' - which i hope you can know see was a poor, and nonsensical, choice of words.
I see other fans laughing at us at the perception we failed to get Kane and Ronaldo, at least in my part of the world. And maybe it’s not crazy to think that in inside football circles that could be happening too? The whole notion of “Release Clause FC” seems to imply people aren’t that good at their jobs, doesn’t it?

Months of getting laughed at. The least I hope is
that it didn’t affect the squad for today’s game
We have no reputation. Everyone else hates us and calls us Oil Money FC as if every other multi millionaire or billionaire in the league is a moral step above.

The squad won't care. They'll go out and do what they do. If anything, there's an argument to say this is Pep showing faith in the players he has.

Media and opposition fans aren't worth the wasted breath.

Again, all this could change in the remaining days, but everyone here agreed that Grealish made sense because we were bound to lose Bernardo, who wanted out, and a striker would come in to that spot. Now we’re stuck with both, and it’s more evidence of poor squad planning. Pep saying that Grealish can play as a striker is hilarious.

Point is, who cares?

I mean, I'd like it if the club cared enough to make them throw their wallet at Dortmund but outside of that, who gives a shit?

They win transfer windows, we win titles. It's been a fairly continuous cycle for years.

Very true, but the club does seem to be believing all the negativity.

PSG don't care what people say or think and do what they have to do, very much like the country they represent.

Time to stop worrying what people think about us.

I suspect Pep has more of an idea than you what a footballer might be capable of

Other fans laughed when we refused to pay Sanchez £500k a week.

Other fans laughed when we wouldn’t pay £130m for Pogba.

Other fans laughed when we wouldn’t pay £47m for Fred.

Other fans are laughing now that we wouldn’t pay £872k a week for Ronaldo.

While they’re laughing, we’ve won 3 titles in 4 years while United have won none ;-)

We have known for 18months-2 years that Kun needed replacing.

Far too long for a club of this stature, and I can't see us getting involved in the next windows for the likes of Haaland.

Its fake laughter though....its their only assault on us ,its fucking desperate - If you fall for it,then more fool you.

We are still the Champions,if that had escaped you and others?

Who exactly isnt good at their job? and what could they have done better?

I’m sure he knows the ways he can use a player better than me, but he also said Torres can play as a striker, and we have seen that not working out well. Anyway, I guess we just gotta have faith, again

Also probably stops them signing Camavinga as well who they needed much more.

Like I said, the names aren’t going to change from the ones we had this summer. If a new name appears, people will say “he only had one good season” — it’s what they say in the Vlahovic thread, for instance. So it seems we’re looking at another summer of long negotiations or big splash of money at one target and leaving other positions left alone.
Part of the reason PSG had a spectacular summer is because they failed to win a league title that should be merely a formality and didn’t reach the UCL final. Let’s assume we have a poor season, do we ever see us having a revolutionary summer like that? The whole “trust the process” mentality worries me in what it could mean in the long term.

Is that ok for you?

But what he said in this tweet and in another one is he had heard City had something big in the works to happen soon. The Haaland mentions are just him implying it probably means that. He didn’t say he heard it’s Haaland, is my point

What has that £872k a week come from? Sounds suspiciously made up
