I think that should be directed at parker.Careless behaviour from Pep on this one. He needs to stop saying stuff like this. It's embarrassing for
us as supporters and there's really no need for it.
They will be making up songs and chants about this shite all season long, now. I really am pissed off that Pep has supplied them all with more ammunition to tout their "Emptyhad" bullshit. He should never have said it and he better not say it again. There are limits.I think that should be directed at parker.
So many city fans have bought into this farce thanks to his stupid comments and he's now filled the back pages with more empty seat garbage. Well at least we know our enemies are hurting.
His best chance is if the Pope buys the club and miraculously wipes the memories of the employees, staff, players etc. who served under him. If you doubt it, just ask them.Bobby did win the European Championship.
I'd have him back after Pep.
But he's probably still got the knifes in his back when Mansour and Khaldoon stabbed him in the back and sacked him on FA Cup final day.
You get bored of "excuses"? I don't think people should be obliged to excuse themselves to you for not attending a football match, ffs. The same goes for Pep.I was at the game, I didn't see it as a slap in the face. I just get bored of some of the excuses, and people getting angry at Pep asking for fans to turn up. It's nowt to do with the cost of tickets, or transport, or covid, or the ticketing system, it's that a chunk of our support doesn't want to watch European football. Best of luck to them, but you can't blame Pep for asking them to get behind the team.
I think you are spot on. Too easy to slam Pep when the reality is that the media and non City fans are laughing at the over reaction of a section of our fans rather than what he said. Pep made a comment, he didn't "feed the enemy", the reaction has.I’ve only just seen his response rather than just seen it written down and I do think this has been blown significantly out of proportion. He’s got a smile on his face, he’s saying it in a positive manner and it’s only part of a response to a bigger question. He also says it straight after pointing out we’ve scored sixteen goals in the last three games.
He’s right to say the football and his players deserve as packed a house as possible. He doesn’t put any blame on anyone, he’s just saying he wants as many people as possible there. I do think some have taken it too much to heart (and I get it) due to what others will think of it rather than seeing it and taking it at the intention it was meant.
Yes it would have been better if he hadn’t said it in those exact words. I really do think he’ll be annoyed at the way they’ve been latched onto too though.
Nonsense.I think you are spot on. Too easy to slam Pep when the reality is that the media and non City fans are laughing at the over reaction of a section of our fans rather than what he said. Pep made a comment, he didn't "feed the enemy", the reaction has.
Because in a supposed free world he is entitled to say what he wants without censorship. Why is he commenting on ANYTHING about fans, attendance, or any off the pitch issue…unless it is to simply be positive?
”The fans were excellent!”
”I‘m proud to be the manager of a club with such intelligent football fans”
Its not hard…and it doesn’t even need to be true!
