Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

I think you are spot on. Too easy to slam Pep when the reality is that the media and non City fans are laughing at the over reaction of a section of our fans rather than what he said. Pep made a comment, he didn't "feed the enemy", the reaction has.
I agree. We might have had a couple of jibes from the press but our overly sensitive fans have made it bigger than it should’ve been. Now we're front and centre news with this thanks to our fans. Not sure why some of our fanbase have gone all miserable all of a sudden. It's bizarre.

Nonsense.

Pep's words have played straight into the hands of our detractors/rivals and backed up their claims we have poor support and can't fill our own stadium.

He got this badly wrong.
I disagree, it is not nonsene, Pep politely asked fans to come to the game on Saturday, fill the stadium with noise, then a group of posters were convinced he was criticising them, creating a whole new narrative while overblown reactions now providiing a source of hilarity for our detractors. Pep isn't what they are laughing at, reactions to his post is,

Because in a supposed free world he is entitled to say what he wants without censorship.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Err, OK!
”I‘m proud to be the manager of a club with such intelligent football fans”, are you serious ?, half of BM would howl about his sarcasm while the other half questioned his sanity. You may disagree but I think he prefers the truth where possible and it is what makes his interviews so interesting. He usually reserves stretching the truth to over praising whichever opponent we play next, which of course some of our fans interpret as licking the boots of the history elite, mainly because they cannot handle the fact that we are amongst the elite now. Posts on here that he doesn't " get us" and is "disconnected", for which they blame him. Maybe it is worth considering that we "don't get him" and it is at least as much our fault as it is his.

You’ve forgotten who works for whom, mate!

Wake me up when he uses that free speech to speak some truth to the things that go in behind the scenes! Until then, when he steps in front of the camera, he is a BOUGHT AND PAID FOR MOUTHPIECE.

He has the luxury of being pretty sure he isn’t going to be sacked for anything he says, but I’m sure if, being the proud Catalan he is, and having already expressed his feelings about Spain and independence, he spoke his mind about how people are treated in the UAE, and even in Abu Dhabi, it might raise an eyebrow or two!

Do your ideals wrt free world extend to the UAE?

Free World, my arse!

Just had a quick look at all the attendances for game week 1 in the champions league ...
1) Liverpool...51,445
2) City...45,000
3) Athletico Madrid ...40.098
4) Barcelona...39,783
5) Chelsea...39,252
So for all the talk about empty seats we actually had the second highest attendance in all Europe , only topped by Liverpool who were playing AC Milan, a far bigger draw than RB Leipzig..
(Admitedly the BBC reported 38,000 , but others reported 45,000 and it looked more like 45,000 to me , even so the 38,000 would have still had us 5th , with virtually no away fans)

Don’t forgot he was brought in to do a job in winning trophy’s and that is what he has done. What he have to remember is that his heart belongs to one team and that’s barca because who else would get away with saying that he hoped messi would finish his career at Barca when we were really looking at bringing him to city . Not arsed about his comments in the slightest because after all he is our coach and that’s all .
He was brought in to win the champions league let’s have it right.

His best chance is if the Pope buys the club and miraculously wipes the memories of the employees, staff, players etc. who served under him. If you doubt it, just ask them.

Those players aren't here. He would bring his own coaching staff. I'm sure he's had time to reflect on his behavior and what he did at times at City. Yes, he wasn't a saint, and had a few bust ups, but I'd still have him back. So would a large % of City fans. Whether Mansour would have him back, or whether he'd come back, is a different matter altogether.

A one level Kop at the North Stand the roof could come deeper over the pitch area because of not blocking sunlight onto the pitch, creating more noise carry, give the away fans the 1st tier behind the goals of the South stand putting Blues fans in the corner areas, so no shit given on corner taking, with no away fans on tier 2 & 3 South, let the bastards get wet.
